Page Not Found!

"HTTP 404 - File not found", pages not found and funny errors on pages that are misdirected to a page that does not exist on a website are how this phenominon occurs. Now don't get too upset about this, it happens to everyone from time to time. You see, this page you just managed to find is not on this server and the reason this happened is simple. The Internet is not as smart as you and needs your help to spice things up a bit. Join this effort in starting a movement for a competition that will inspire the three major search engines Google, Yahoo and MSN to try and top eachother every week with a new or updated design for their error pages.

Here is what Google does for the Google error page, it acutally displays the url you requested but needs some cool trick behind it or something. Here is an example of the MSN version we all have to know so well called "The page cannot be found" web page. This one, at least, is the most classic of all and is the model from which all have spawned. The Yahoo version they call "Sorry, the page you requested was not found" automatically redirects in 10 seconds to the Yahoo home page. Some hosting companies like GoDaddy call this the missing.html page on their servers, which usually promotes their hosting company in some way when visitor reaches a page that cannot be found on most websites.

Can we all just rally together and support this effort to change the digital world for the better by once and for all ridding of all the extremely boring default error pages that exist on the internet and get everyone to create a unique, funny and/ or smartly crafted page. At least make the page artistic in some way. Funny or comical pages are great and are probably the most popular at this time. Now for a big companies like Google, Yahoo, and MSN to not have the coolest HTTP 404 pages known to man is beyond us. Oh, by the way, some people and companies have resorted to running sponsored search ads like ad-sense on these pages. We need to nip this one in the bud, and I mean fast.
